At Reserve Squad we believe leaving a job doesn’t have to mean leaving for good. We help leaders and former employees find new ways to work together when the timing is right.
We know the pressure of leading a team with too much work and not enough people.
Our founder, Teresa Tanner, spent 30 years in executive leadership, including the C-suite of a Fortune 500 company. She saw projects stall when teams lost critical knowledge to retirement, career breaks, or layoffs. At the same time, capable former employees had the skills and desire to help, but no easy way to offer support without a full-time role.
Why We Started Reserve Squad
When Teresa stepped away from corporate leadership, she finally had the space to act on an idea she’d carried for years. She set out to help companies maintain momentum by re-hiring their own alumni for project-based work. For those professionals—especially female caretakers and retirees—it created opportunities to keep contributing in ways that fit their current life stages.
Reserve Squad launched with a focused mission: build and manage a company’s alumni talent marketplace so trusted alumni are engaged and ready when critical projects arise.
When the pandemic hit soon after, the need for fast, flexible talent solutions became even more relevant. Companies quickly saw the value of bringing back team members who already knew their culture, systems, and priorities.
